The M,O,C, is perfectly linked to the German motorway system and therefore easy to reach by car: From the A9 motorway take the exit München-Freimann, turn into Heidemannstrasse and, after about 500 m, turn left into Lilienthalallee.
When coming from Munich, simply follow the road signs to oils+fats – these will guide you to the M,O,C,. There is parking space for 1,500 cars in the underground garage at the M,O,C,.

Ban on truck/lorry traffic in Munich |
 |
|
As part of the city of Munich's clean-air initiative, through traffic
of trucks/lorries weighing more than 3.5 tons is no longer permitted in
the city as of February 1, 2008. The ban concept calls for through
traffic of trucks/lorries to be diverted to the A99 motorway. As a
rule, roadblocks directly at the city limits will not be used. Instead,
traffic will be diverted or rerouted by warning signs in outlying
areas, by prohibitive signs within the city limits (sign 253 of the
German road-traffic regulations with the addition "Lieferverkehr frei"
(delivery vehicles only)) and by detour signs indicating the way to the
nearest motorway. Effect on vehicles making deliveries to the trade-fair center: The vehicle ban expressly permits delivery vehicles whose point of
origin or destination is within Munich. As a result, deliveries to and
from the M,O,C, are not affected by the vehicle ban.
However, trucks/lorries whose destinations are outside of Munich may not take the A9 motorway toward Munich when leaving the M,O,C, because doing so would make them "through traffic". Download Truck/lorry detour concept for Munich in PDF format (411 KB) |
