oils+fats 2011, the world´s only International Trade
Fair for the Technology and Trade of Oils and Fats, is entering the home strait! From 5
to 7 October in the M,O,C, Event Centre in Munich, around 70 exhibitors will be
presenting all the latest trends and technologies – live. It promises to be a
real highlight for a sector which is otherwise more at home in scientific
congresses. There are only a few free
spaces left in the M,O,C,. Companies wishing to take part in this unique event
for their sector should act now. The fastest and most convenient way to
register is online, at
www.oils-and-fats.com.
Many leading companies have already done so, and secured their place at
oils+fats 2011. The list of exhibitors – which can be viewed in the
online
catalogue of oils+fats – reads like a Who´s Who of the sector.
"As
the world´s only trade fair for the sector, oils+fats has a very clear
profile," explained Petra Westphal, the Exhibition Director responsible
for the fair at Messe München GmbH. "The emphasis is on practical
technological solutions for the manufacture, processing and trade of oils and
fats. As such it appeals in particular to those involved in the technical side
in all areas of the industry and from the whole of Europe.
Also, the business character of the fair differs distinctly from the many
scientifically oriented congresses for the sector. Indeed industry has
committed to this trade fair very strongly."
Presenting
trends and technologies is one of the main goals of oils+fats. In this compact
and efficient three-day forum exhibitors will be showcasing systems, components
and auxiliary materials for the manufacture and processing of cooking oils,
fats and lubricants – with the emphasis on practical benefits and applications.
In
addition to the products and solutions on display at the exhibitors' stands,
the latest technology and developments will also be an important theme in the
events in the supporting programme. For example, a two-day short course is
being held on the processing of oil and oilseed. Anyone wishing to take part can
register for this online at
www.smartshortcourses.com.
And there will be a workshop on new materials and technologies for packaging
edible oils and oily foods. More information is available at EuroFedLipid,
www.eurofedlipid.org. Together
with the exhibitors and associations, the exhibition management team is also
very active in its advertising to visitors. Direct mailings are being sent out
to 18 countries in Europe, and new target markets, above all in Eastern Europe
– places like Russia, Ukraine and Serbia – have been added. "Our
goal is to attract around 1,300 visitors from 60 different countries, but of
course the emphasis is more on quality than quantity. For this reason, we have
again updated and expanded our database of contacts and are busy treating the
sector to a colourful bouquet of different communication measures," said
Petra Westphal.
